Job Title - Regional Business Manager  Location - Pune  Job Summary :  - You will be responsible for managing and growing the business of a region consisting of 8-10 territories and lead a multi-function team of sales, implementation and operations. By 2020, we aim to work with 1 million students and help them achieve their true potential.  We have been covered by CNBC TV 18, The Hindu, Business Standard, VCCircle and YourStory.  We have also featured in the prestigious Harvard Business Review as a case study.  The culture of the company is dynamic, fast-paced and entrepreneurial, making it an ideal grooming ground for those who want to tread the unchartered path and make a real impact.  We have more than 250 full time employees closely working with each other from offices in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Vijayawada.  We are an equal opportunity employer.  Roles and Responsibilities :   Business Development:  School acquisition: Support and monitor sales team for reaching out to prospective schools through various lead sources like references, channel etc., build a pipeline and sign them up  School Retention and upgrade: Monitor the retention of all existing schools and upgrade the value of business within the portfolio.  Channel Development- Identify, develop and manager channel partners who can generate new business or influence a sale.  Collection: Collection of money due from schools on time.  School relationship:  Relationship: Manage relationships with key schools of the region. Also, ensure all team members are building and strengthening relationships with their customers.  Communication: Ensure periodic communication with the customers and sharing the progress of program implementation in the School  Program implementation:  Coordination: Plan and coordinate internally with operations, product specialists and product team to ensure complete and efficient implementation at the School on a day to day basis. In case of escalation from team members, need to resolve the roadblocks internally for him/her.  Service satisfaction :   Customer Satisfaction: Drive customer satisfaction for the managed schools by monitoring to ensure on time high quality product and service delivery.  Proactive problem solving- Be transparent in sharing the feedback of the Schools and proactively resolve issues or queries of customers in a timely manner.  Business Planning :  Business planning: Build annual business plan for the region based on the requirement of the business and market trends. Ensure resources are planned an allocated based on the need of the region.  Strategic planning and feedback: Read the trends of the market and provide strategic input to the organization to meet the needs of the market.  Team Leadership  Recruitment : Recruitment of business team members and business partners  Training and coaching : Training/ coaching of the team members  Planning and Monitoring : Planning and monitoring the priorities of the business team members and ensuring the calendar is followed.  Reporting and Documentation :   Documentation : Complete all documentation regarding school sign up, collect advance amount as per company policy and engage the schools as per the need.  Reporting : Keep all reporting formats, CRM, documentation etc. updated on day-to-day basis. It's a high energy job which requires you to spend 70-80% of your time in the field.  Qualifications & Experience  - An MBA/PGDBM degree or graduation from a premier institute  - 6-10 years of B2B selling experience  - Should have led a team of 4-5 sales team members at least for couple of years. Traits  - Aggressive pursuit of goals- A go-getter who gets things done. Entrepreneurial approach.  Customer empathy - Should understand customer's pain points and should be able to pass on the feedback to the service/ product team immediately for action  Perseverance - One with never say die attitude. Doesn't give up. Takes rejection as a part of the job.  Quick learning - Picks up concepts, nuances, etc. quickly and adapts style to match the market and/ or customer need.  Work ethic - A self-starter with comprehensive approach of doing things.  - Comfortable to travel in city and around the state .  Skills :   Must Have :   - B2B concept selling- Ability to sell a concept in a B2B environment.  - Strong negotiation and closing skills.  Collection of receivables - Should be able to collect the receivables from the customers based on agreed terms  Process orientation - Should follow the process and ensure delivery, service, etc are planned and executed as per the outlined process.  - Key Account Management  - Channel development and management  - Data handling and MS office  Strategic thinking - Should be able to look at big picture and figure out a way to approach things in uncertain environment.  Problem Solving Skills - Should be able to identify roadblocks and find ways to navigate them.  Team management and collaboration- Should be able to lead the team members and collaborate with other functions.  Reporting-timely reporting of daily activities and business  Inter personal skills and communication- Excellent communication and influence without authority.
