What: The key task is to build profitable operations to serve this large populace spread across the nook and corner of the small towns of India.
HOW: Implement and Monitor sales strategies & policies to achieve targeted sales, profitability and improve market share of on a sustainable basis in the overall category by building the business in 'Small Town India'. Strategically build Sales Team & Channels for achieving business objectives while strengthening customer relationships.
Key Accountability: Team Management , P&L , Sales plan Achievement, Channel Development , Market Development & Penetration, demand generation , Customer Satisfaction, people Development.
Key Decision: Build the sales & distribution and last mile retail channel footprint, B2B / institutional sales, prioritize on-ground investments for brand awareness and conversion at the POS, team development & performance management
Working Relation:
- Role involves close cross functional engagement.
- Establish an effective relationship with business stakeholders to give inputs / market feedback.
- Establish close relationships with Channel Partners to understand the market needs and challenges.
- Work closely with the marketing department for branding & awareness support at local level.
- Close relation with commercial to ensure that all financial claims of the channel are settled within time.
Key Attributes needed: Passion for building a new offline focused venture of scale, entrepreneurial mindset, open to taking on new challenges, can perform in unstructured environment, high energy, knack for channel management, has managed large teams in a fmcg/ fmcd industry at a regional level and understanding of rural/ urban markets. Geography & Channel Sales experience mandatory.
