Our client is a disruptive startup in the offline retail market that is creating an enterprising platform to bridge retailers and manufacturers across India. Founded by a dynamic duo of IITians with decades of rich experience in companies like Intel, Flipkart, Myntra BCG and Apple, the company is on its journey to make manufactured products more accessible and thereby build some serious competitiveness in the offline retail segment.
As the Regional Business Development Head, you will be responsible to own customer relationships end to end.
You will have an opportunity to fundamentally change the B2B ecosystem in fashion in India, and impact millions of people through innovation in supply chain and business models.
What you will do:
- Managing the regional P&L and controlling costs
- Being the primary voice of the customers within the organization
- Responsible for managing a team of sales people in the region
- Building and executing sales strategies through sales team management and mentorship
- Responsible for end to end ownership of sales and distribution in a category
- Owning the success of a particular category in the region
- Designing and implementation of end to end sales processes from onboarding to account management to managing sales incentives
- Seeking continuous feedback from the buyers through online and offline mechanisms
- Working with the product and engineering team by providing continuous feedback
- Researching and sharing market insights and trends
Candidate Profile:
- Male Candidates preferred
- At least 4-6 years of leadership experience in a sales / P&L / business development role in consumer goods, or a related industry in Karnataka
- Willingness to travel extensively across cities/clusters and spend majority of the time in the field
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong grasp over English, Kannada and Hindi languages
- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
- Strong bias towards being hands-on in building operational processes & standards from scratch
- Demonstrates high level of integrity, and strong work ethic
- Being comfortable in dealing with ambiguous, new, rapidly evolving and challenging situations
