Redtag - Stock Distribution Planner

Job Purpose :

- To control and strategically drive the plans for stock distribution, brand merchandising, space planning and supply chain processes in order to maintain stock levels within the set budget

Key Accountabilites :

Strategic :

- Create a strategic road map and develop stock and pricing strategies to maximize profits and ensure customer satisfaction

Financial :

- Direct and implement the function's financial and budget activities to fund operations.

- Interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business.

- Understand of the process and methods of gross margin profitability planning.

Operational :

- Conduct pre-season, in season and post season planning in collaboration with the buying team.

- Ensure processes at each stage are accurately defined and understood in order to achieve productivity and profitability.

- Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding allocation strategies and product availability.

- Ensure accurate and timely stock counts, carried out in accordance with the operational guidelines.

- Lead retail planners to build and refine plans for key accounts based on retail strategies and opportunities, ensuring profitability in the most critical styles.

- Drive alignment of assortment plans with cross functional partners including business planning, merchandising, buying, accounts, sales and distribution.

- Reduce overall company stock holding and minimize markdowns.

Monitor and review key measures involving :

- Reduction in turnaround of replenishment.

- Reduction in average store stock cover.

- Increase in the core line instock level.

- Improvement in size availability.

- Develop and oversee the brand merchandising function within the business, and to proactively implement store profiling and clustering.

Eligibility :

Education and Certification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or any relevant field

Experience :

- 6 - 8 year's of experience in a retail focused and planning environment.

Knowledge and Skills :

- Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft office and relevant industry standard software.

- Working knowledge of IT tools and the ability to handle electronic data.

- Experience in inventory planning as well as managing inventory preferred.

- Exposure of management and planning tools preferred.

- Preferred background in buying, planning and stock distribution

EXPERIENCE IN FAST MOVING FASHION RETAIL COMPANY PREFERRED.
