What is on offer: 2nd in line to CEO at a MNC NBFC - Leading the financial control function - Opportunity to set up processes The Role: - Steering the accounting team to ensure accurate &amp; timely financial accounting, reporting - monthly, quarterly &amp; annual (audited). - Having an in depth understanding of the concepts of NBFC accounting/regulations. - Ensuring basic data integrity and sanctity of the general ledgerscode and records of the company. - Design and adherence to stringent controls across all the processes. Involves continuous process reviews, audits, documentation of procedures, controls and key metrics. - Ensure all direct &amp; indirect tax returns and other regulatory returns are properly and promptly prepared and that the company's income tax and other tax exposures are minimized to the extent legally possible. - Ability to proactively manage the statutory auditors - Managing the compliance to the requirements of RBI and other control/governance aspects mandated by the management. - Complete ownership of the annual report of the company. - Drive automation to minimize manual intervention &amp; thus maximize efficiency &amp; financial controls. - Manage the chart of accounts, monthly schedule preparation &amp; its review and manage the changes in the accounting platform. - Preparation of Variance analysis - Analysis of the cost drivers and the unit cost - Assess and review the cost allocation of various line items among businesses - Evaluate various cost methodologies for P&amp;L management Requirements: - Must have in-depth understanding of the concepts of NBFC accounting/regulations. - Excel and financial modelling is a must - Must have willingness and aptitude to learn SQL - Preferred: CA with 3-6+ years of post qualification experience. - You will prior experience in financial control at a NBFC or Big 4 and be well versed in NBFC accounting and legal compliances. You will have strong experience of IFRS/IGAAP accounting standards.
