The Head of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing market opportunities. This position will oversee the development and execution of sales strategies, inspire a high-performance team, and shape the company's positioning within the industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a "hunter" mindset, passionate about building customer relationships, and experienced in fostering growth through innovative sales tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Recykal's business goals, revenue targets, and market potential.
- Identify and seize new market opportunities, competitive shifts, and industry trends to position Recykal as a market leader.
2. Revenue, Profitability, and P&L Ownership:
- Own and manage the P&L for the sales department, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular analysis of financial metrics, cost structures, and performance data to drive profitability and inform strategic decisions.
- Implement cost-effective practices while maintaining high standards of customer service and sales impact.
3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and expand relationships with high-value clients, particularly in FMCG, electronics, fertilizers, and beverage sectors.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, presenting Recykal's value proposition with authority and establishing credibility at the executive level.
4. Sales Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Conduct regular coaching and professional development to elevate individual and team capabilities, focusing on achieving both short-term results and long-term growth.
5. Innovation and Pipeline Development:
- Employ creative, forward-thinking sales tactics to build a robust pipeline, identify untapped markets, and leverage opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and new market offerings to drive Recykal's competitive advantage.
6. Operational Efficiency and Data-Driven Insights:
- Oversee the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, providing data-driven insights on performance metrics to executive leadership.
- Streamline sales processes with CRM, analytics tools, and sales automation to enhance efficiency and support revenue growth.
7. Compliance and Industry Knowledge:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), offering expert guidance on regulatory matters for prospective clients.
- Promote knowledge-sharing within the team, fostering continuous learning and adaptation to regulatory changes and client needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 10+ years in B2B/B2C or SaaS sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; extensive experience with P&L management and a proven track record of scaling revenue.
- Education: Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing sales teams with a focus on accountability, growth, and delivering exceptional results.
- Client Management: Expertise in establishing and nurturing relationships with key industry accounts, especially in FMCG, electronics, fertilizers, and beverages.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and cost control to drive profitable growth.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with PWM and EPR regulations; ability to guide clients on compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in sales and analytics tools (e.g., CRM systems, MS Excel, Google Sheets).
- Expertise in using social media and other digital platforms for networking and lead generation.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with key clients and drive sales efforts across regions.
