Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Stay ahead of the curve on emerging trends and identify opportunities to position the brand as industry leaders.
2. Develop strategic communication plans (IMC plans) for our current and upcoming product portfolio. This includes creating innovative story pegs, press releases, media pitches, spokesperson materials, and articles that resonate with Indian media and influencers.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, tech bloggers, and key influencers in the Indian market.
4. Coordinate and execute strategic on-ground events like press conferences, product launches, and media activities to generate excitement and buzz.
5. Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure seamless PR outreach.
6. Manage and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the PR team, working collaboratively with our agency partners.
Eligibility:
1. Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (a Master's degree is a plus).
2. 5-6 years of experience working in a PR agency or corporate communications role, preferably within the consumer tech sector.
3. Demonstrated track record of success in securing media placements and building strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
4. Excellent writing skills in English and fluency in a local Indian language is a plus.
5. A self-motivated, results-oriented, and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with PR software a plus.
7. Willingness to travel frequently within India and potentially overseas
