R&D Specialist - Dairy - FMCG

Position open with a leading FMCG company in Bangalore for their R&D division.

JD-

- Drive the product design for the Dairy portfolio with a particular emphasis on Cheese products. Must have the ability to drive superior Organoleptics across mass to premium categories through perceptible innovation and renovation of old products catering to local consumer palates across consumers in a heterogeneous society.

- New Product development - Innovation, Timeliness, Branding, BTL & ATL communication, Market research, Commercialization

Product Renovation, Cost Sensitivity & Liasoning & Delivery on Organoleptics

- Total of 10 - 12 years experience in Dairy Industry with strong New Product Development / Innovation experience

- 2-3+ years of experience in Operations, R&D or Quality function

- Strong verbal and written communication in English

- Dairy experience is an asset

- Technical expertise in Cheese, product dev./ new product commercialization

- Demonstrated experience in New Product Commercialization, plant trials, etc.

- Proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions and geographies

- Knowledge of Formulating systems is an asset

- Ability to operate at a high level with minimal supervision

- Project management skills

- Ability to provide training and influence through strong presentation skills

- Willing to travel 15%

Functional:

- In-depth knowledge of dairy products with emphasis on cheese

- Understanding of live bacteria products/ cultures and other dairy product additives

- Technical competency to commercialize new products in Dairy

- Ability to drive innovation based on consumer insights & marketing briefs

- Understanding of quality systems, innovation processes

- Understanding of packaging technology

- Blending cost, quality & aspiration

Behavioral:

- Lead all new product development processes within Dairy

- Adherence to innovation programmes in terms of stage-gate process, timelines & commercial guidelines

- Cross-functional teamwork & influence multiple stakeholders, work collaboratively with the manufacturing personnel
