RBS - Senior Analyst - SAS

The Role :

The role requires the individual to create and support business MI, data submission related project work and conduct ad-hoc analysis to support various stakeholders and help enhance the overall retail reporting experience. The role also requires good analytical skills to handle complex projects. The tools / infrastructure must support the timely and accurate delivery of MI packages. Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP- s) around these processes is required. Understanding of the data structures and being able to translate customer requirements into timely, accurate and visually appealing packages is an important element of the job.

The Role is in RHI RIS - Retail Credit Risk Reporting and will report to AVP.

Risk Hub India (RHI) supports all global risk function teams in EMEA, APAC and North America. The division, established in Q3, 2011 has now grown to ~300 employees. This team both leads and supports the activities of all the Risk verticals, providing specialised analytics and models, data, controls and reporting processes. Risk Information Services supports the global team in a team extension model and is responsible for Risk Data, Controls and Reporting for all risk operations. They are responsible for: supporting credit risk systems, supporting key credit risk processes and controls (such as deal clearance, excess management, annual reviews and watch list), providing risk data and information services, investigating and resolving risk data quality issues, producing credit & market risk portfolio MI, analysis and risk input into regulatory reporting.

Your Responsibilities :

As Senior Analyst - Reporting your key responsibilities will be:

- Support maintenance of BAU packs for Credit Risk team

- Provide insights and commentary to packs

- Perform basic trend and data analysis.

- Support development of new MI and optimization of existing BAU packs for Credit Risk team

- Support user change requests (Complex analytical adhocs/projects)

- Perform reconciliation checks on all reports as per control documents

Skills you need :

- Masters in quant disciplines or MBA or B.Tech./ B.E. from a reputed institute/ Masters in Computer Application

- 3 -5 years in reporting, understanding of key metrics in Banking

- Basic understanding of retail banking, good analytical skills

- Prior experience in Base + advance SAS - Mandatory skillset

- VBA automation - Good to have
