Business Lead - Personal Loan
Job Title: Business Lead - Personal Loan with RBL Bank
Location: Gurgaon / work from office
The hiring is for a mid-senior level position responsible for overseeing the growth of PL book. The role combines business development, strategy, and overall product management to achieve business goals.
Detailed overview of the role:
1. Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and execute the business strategy for the personal loan portfolio.
- Identify new opportunities for product enhancements, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
- Align product offerings with market needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
2. Business Development:
- Work with sales / delivery teams to implement targeted sales strategies for customer acquisition and retention of existing ones.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including strategic partners, tech vendors, bureau etc
3. Product Management & Innovation:
- Oversee the development, pricing, and positioning of the product.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to keep the company- s offerings relevant and competitive.
4. Financial Performance & Profitability:
- Ensure that personal loan products meet revenue, profitability, and risk targets.
- Analyze key financial metrics such as loan volume, interest rates, customer acquisition cost, and portfolio performance.
5. Risk Management & Compliance:
- Work with compliance & business control teams to ensure all compliance with all regulatory asks & guidelines
- Closely work with risk & credit to ensure portfolio delinquency is maintained under acceptable thresholds
6. Customer Insights & Market Research:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviour related to personal loans
- Use data and insights to refine marketing and sales strategies for better customer engagement and experience.
7. Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
- Regularly report business performance to senior management, providing insights into key metrics, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including fintech companies, regulators, and external service providers.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A master's degree in business, finance, economics, or related fields. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 8-12 years in banking, financial services, or consumer lending, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing personal loans or related financial products.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, strong analytics and excellent communication skills.
