Job Title : National Technical Manager

Department : Retail Risk

Grade : AVP/DVP/VP

Team Size : 2-10

Job location : NOC Mumbai

Reporting To : Head Credit and Policy - Affordable Housing

Position Purpose :

- This role is responsible for devising and implementation of Technical evaluation Risk Governance framework Pan India. Ensuring technical valuation strategy and policy aligned with the market trends to facilitate favourable business environment and to ensure the quality and security coverage of the portfolio. Maintain productivity at the desired levels aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Position Responsibilities :

- Develop region specific technical valuation related policies and design seamless, efficient and robust collateral property valuation process and procedures

- Project approval grid through Developer categorization, design and implementation of project approval policy.

- Monitoring adherence to technical policy and process on the ground and suggest and implement regular improvements in the same

- Cross audit of technical valuations. Conducting spot checks at various locations, and suggest region specific amendments to support business and mitigate risk. Undertake periodic audit of branches to ensure process compliance and control effectiveness

- Management of the vendors involved in the technical evaluation process, ensuring their quality and SLA standards are being maintained

- Train and evaluate the proficiency levels of the team on the regular basis. Ability to nurture team, maintain property valuation standards and portfolio quality

- Keeping Market intelligence on the Real estate and sharing the knowledge series update with various teams and functions

- Monitor handling of fraud cases on the technical front and facilitating reporting and closure as per the action decided in coordination with the vigilance team

- Maintain TAT standards of the technical evaluation process and maintain efficient MIS to monitor the same.

- Monitor the productivity of technical team and take corrective action to facilitate smooth functioning of business

- Anticipate risks due to change in business, real estate environment and take corrective and preventive actions.

- Engage with local intermediaries to undertake detailed market survey. Identify areas of concern and pockets to maximize business opportunity

- Keep updated with market and bring about changes in technical valuation policy and maintain competitiveness

Qualifications :

- Essential : BE / B Tech with technical exposure to architecture and evaluation

Experience :

Essential :

- Candidate should have prior experience of 8 to 10 years in Retail Finance Industry in Technical field

- Candidate should have sound knowledge of business environment in major markets of India

- Should have sound communication skills

- Should have sound knowledge of real estate environment and valuation techniques

- Should have good understanding of technical related regulatory guidelines

Competency Requirements :

- Knowledge of Retail Finance industry and real estate industry.

- Analytical skills with comprehensive coverage of all risk related issues

- Technical and functional expertise

- Ability to work under pressure

- Good in communication and soft skills

- Efficient in computer knowledge

- Excellent in building and developing relationships across different verticals
