Razorpay - Risk & Fraud Analyst

What will you get to work on :

- As our Lead, Fraud & Risk, you will have the opportunity to work with the banking and payments industry, always trying to push the envelope and get that extra bit. This position enables you to understand how the some of the biggest financial institutions of India like Banks, NBFCs, regulatory bodies like RBI work. We also deal with some of the largest new age businesses in the country including E-commerce, Travel, etc and you will be at a premium spot to interact and negotiate with them.

Some specific activities part of the responsibilities :

- Have indepth knowledge of the core product enabling you to identify risk

- Work closely with the operations & support teams to identify risks

- Review activations for negative line of business

- Reject merchants and communicate to them if they do not meet the criteria

- Monitor activated and live merchants to ensure they are not deviating from the registered line of business

- Monitor transactions to identify risk/fraud

- Identify patterns and document fraudulent merchants

- Identify methods to perform root-cause analysis to implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action)

- Segregate merchants based on the level of risk

- Handle transaction disputes in case of discrepancies

- Work closely with the partner banks to handle chargebacks/ customer disputes

- Speak to merchants to understand their risk mitigation

- Identify methods to automate risk mitigation

- Work closely with the product team to develop a risk engine, enforce measures to identify and prevent fraud

- Review the open tickets assigned to the team on Zendesk

- Reply to queries related to the tickets

- Research & be updated on industry best practices on risk & fraud
