Job Description - VP/Senior VP- Sales
Role & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the role is to serve as a senior point of contact with prospective customers to negotiate & close/ achieve business deals. The selected candidate will qualify and demonstrate solution-selling skills in order to convert prospects into actual RateGain clients.

The ideal candidate for this position should be strategic in approach, motivated to succeed with excellent communication skills and expertise in following:
- Lead expansion for existing and new territories in the assigned geography.
- Develop and execute Travel business development strategy and plan both short and long term goals to ensure achievement of company sales targets from Travel industries, growth in profits and expansion of company services and drive special initiatives such as tradeshows, webinars, product seminars, online demos and new market penetration strategies.
- Manage direct sales teams for several product lines for Travel business.
- Strength in selling Distribution technology to hotels (independent and Chains) in the international market.
- Manage workflow, handle escalations, proactively engage resources to address issues and effectively delegate workload across the team.
- Ability to set vision, direction, and culture for the team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, monitoring real time service levels and schedule adherence, and holding the team accountable for meeting and exceeding performance targets.
- Drives the entire sales process of Travel business in the assigned geography; lead and assigns team responsibilities for opportunity qualification and development, solution architecting, RFP/ RFI proposal development and customer reviews, issues handling, negotiations and deal closure.
- Manage sales support teams.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
- Develops Territory Plans and Account Acquisition Plans, working closely with industry experts from Travel industry, Solution Specialists including Marketing and incorporating the broader go-to-market plans.
- Drive sales activities for Travel products based on strategy defined by the leadership team.
- Participate in international tradeshows, seminars, webinars etc
- Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement and new programs.
Education & Experience Summary:
- Extensive experience in establishing and managing international sales.
- Postgraduate with more than 13 years of experience in Sales & Business Development.
- Experience in working with counterparts in US/ UK and other international geographies.
- Excellent strength in team management (Direct Sales), verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners.
- Excel working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- International sales management experience is a must and willingness to travel extensively to international geographies.
