VP Sales - Hospitality (north America)

Job Description:

- Lead international expansion for existing and new territories (North America).

- Develop and execute hospitality business development strategy and plan both short and long term goals to ensure achievement of company sales targets from hospitality industries, growth in profits and expansion of company services and drive special initiatives such as tradeshows, webinars, product seminars, online demos and new market penetration strategies.

- Manage international sales teams for several product lines for hospitality business.

- Manage workflow, handle escalations, proactively engage resources to address issues and effectively delegate workload across the team.

- Ability to set vision, direction, and culture for the team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, monitoring real time service levels and schedule adherence, and holding the team accountable for meeting and exceeding performance targets.

- Drives the entire sales process of hospitality business for North America; lead and assigns team responsibilities for opportunity qualification and development, solution architecting, RFP/ RFI proposal development and customer reviews, issues handling, negotiations and deal closure.

- Manage sales support teams.

- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.

- Develops Territory Plans and Account Acquisition Plans, working closely with industry experts from hospitality industry, Solution Specialists including Marketing and incorporating the broader go-to-market plans.

- Coordination with all stakeholder groups for successful implementation of international expansion strategies

- Drive sales activities for hospitality products based on strategy defined by the leadership team.

- Participate in international tradeshows, seminars, webinars etc

- Analyze and report program performance; provide results and recommendations for improvement and new programs.

Education & Experience Summary:

- Postgraduate from Tier 1 institute such as IIM, IIT, ISB, FMS, MDI, etc with more than 10 years experience in Sales & Business Development and must have managed US geography.

- Extensive experience in establishing and managing international sales operations with reputed hotels; especially in US & North America

- Experience in working with counterparts in US/ UK and other international geographies

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners.

- Excel working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

- International sales management experience is a must.
