Definition:

The implementation expert will be responsible for coordinating implementation projects of varying size and complexity or its parts. S/he is responsible for organizing and controlling project activities - both internally as well as with customers, team management and for communicating risks, opportunities and current state of project to his superior and/or other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Make sure that the project runs smoothly by tracking project progress and timely communicating its status to customers, management and project members.

2. Work on process improvements and documentation updates.

3. Track implementation projects from inception to completion.

4. Direct Quality Assurance of implementation team's project status documentation.

5. Make sure that strategy, goals and objectives are stated.

6. Helping the organization with the development of operating procedures related to implementations.

7. Track, analyze and communicate project risks and opportunities.

8. Resolving any financial queries that are raised, including timely communication about changes in scope, implementation dates, and/or resources needed to complete the project.

9. Participate in performance reviews, organize team's work and maintain processes.

10. Make sure deliverables are aligned with the goals and objectives requested.

11. Close projects and ensure measurement on project outcomes against baseline have been triggered as part of project closure.

12. Ensure that relevant management information is captured and analyzed.

13. Assign tasks and working with the team to remove blockers.

14. Control schedule and developw training and briefing material for staff.

15. Keep in close contact with key project members and decision makers.

16. Track and report project progress.

Areas or expertise:

1. Knowledge of languages i.e. Linux, Java, XML etc & database exposure i.e. SQL.

2. Quality Assurance of implementation team's project status documentation.

3. Project status (hours, budget, scope) tracking, reporting and coordination.

4. Hands on experience on JIRA and PUTTY.

5. Planning, directing, organizing project work in an agile environment.

6. Project schedule management, risk management and documentation management.

Experience Needed:

1. Proven experience of participating in projects as Implementation Head in an agile software development/implementation environment with a high volume of active projects (Minimum of 5 years of experience).

2. Having independently handled projects requiring GDS and PMS/CRS connectivity with Channel Managers or other disparate systems (preferably from travel domain).

3. Project team status/tracking report creation, evaluation, and presentation.

4. Resource utilization report creation, evaluation, and presentation.

5. Maintenance of sprint forecast and slotting new projects in future sprints based on anticipated resource availability.

6. Document and communicate changes of scope, both time and functionality, with understanding of impact on revenue.

7. Experience of working effectively with a team.

8. Experience using JIRA, (advanced) Excel (required), Microsoft Project and Project Web App (preferred), Confluence (preferred), and SharePoint (preferred).
