Job Description – Head Relationship Management
Reporting: This position will report to MD – Travel Solutions
Role & Responsibilities:
- Head/ Director Relationship Management shall be responsible for overall sales growth from the geography & the assigned clients.
- Shall be responsible for setting and achieving annual sales goals and sales growth targets, as well as ensuring all products are priced to produce corporate profit and market competitiveness.
- Ensures effective cascading of company’s philosophies, strategies and business goals, to the team his and ensures sales growth and excellent customer service.
- Expected to have excellent understanding of the client’s business and provide inputs to the Marketing team and functional VP for tools and services required for creation, coordination and implementation of effective marketing and communications plans. Additionally, will also be required to develop effective sales tools which can be implemented at the ground level by the reportees i.e. a team of Relationship/ Account Managers .
- Head RM is expected to be an expert in managing, directing, guiding and motivating the assigned team
- Periodic travel around the geography will be required to actively participate in trade shows, conferences, and sales meetings to deliver effective campaign support.
Functional Competencies Required:
- Ability to monitor and analyze market trends with respect to our products & services in relation to our competitors.
- Ability to implement innovative & creative ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability.
- Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them
- Ability to prepare, strategies for client mining, analyzing, up-selling, growing & retaining clients within planned budgets.
- Producing reports & matrices to monitor action plans leading to performance results
- Build, develop & establish relationships with assigned customers & channel partners to achieve sustainable profit and growth.
- Fosters and grows positive key customer relations; coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer satisfaction, account mining, revenue management & generation
- Strong capabilities to analyze and prepare sales forecasts and business reviews.
- Ability to review and correct teams performance spread across the globe.
- Assessing need of innovative product and services based on customer feedback.
- Work in close cooperation with all key functions and help to maximize the capabilities of business.
Education & Experience Summary:
Postgraduate from Tier 1 institute such as IIM, IIT, ISB, FMS, MDI, etc with more than 10 years experience in Sales & Business Development and must have managed US geography.
- At least 10+ years of marketing and brand management experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to partner effectively across the organization and constructively engage in ''challenging conversations'' with internal and external partners
- Assertive, a relationship building, pleasant personality and strong presentation skills.
- Good knowledge & understanding of travel, hospitality & consulting industry.
- Client focused with strong belief in persistent focus on client satisfaction & ability to partner with sales & account.
- Team player with ability to demonstrate individual accomplishments are measured by the success of team.
- Strong analytical & articulation skills with ability to develop strategies based on facts & figures and articulate business goals and objectives based on farsightedness
- Excellent management skills with ability to develop clear deliverables statements, measure productively with customers
- Strong project management skills as a self starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment. Highly organized and able to gracefully manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously. Ability to collaborate with a variety of team members across multiple functional areas, management/ experience levels, operating styles, and physical locations. Able to effectively drive towards completion of deliverables.
- Ability to work & comfortable working in an ''entrepreneurial environment'' with high level of flexibility.
