Job Description – Delivery Head

Reporting: This position will report to the Managing Director – Travel Solutions

Role & Responsibilities:

- Delivery Head shall be responsible for effective delivery of Professional Services and Travel Operations across globe

- Plan, execute & deliver analytical projects to solve business problems

- Aid new customer acquisition by working on pilot projects

- Provide support in pre-sales activities by taking ownership of preparing case studies, collaterals & client presentations

- Expertise in business process re-engineering (BPR) & strategy consulting including project scoping, planning, execution, risk management and change management

- Strengthening multifunctional teams comprising of research analytics, software development, database etc

- End to end project management (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Completion) with expertise in risk, quality, time, cost and scope management in IT project.

- Practical and hands-on exposure to complete lifecycle development, business process re-engineering, business analysis, estimation, providing technical leadership and developing application design is essential

- Contribution at companywide level by actively participating in presales activities/ RFP/ RFI/ Proposal/ managing pilots and prototypes/ demo’s, SOW preparation,

- Establishes, maintains and continually improves processes for Quality Management System (QMS)

- Develops and maintains systems to measure performance against established standards

- Monitors performance of engagements according to agreed standards and takes necessary action to communicate/ advise/ assist to establish performance level expectations

- Manages departmental performance against agreed targets, with approved budgets, policies and standards

- Shall be accountable for integration of third party vendor and new features implementations and making them go live as per expectations in terms of quality & timeliness

- Responsible for continual improvement to ensure excellence in delivery through metrics-based measurement process & define quality management principles, processes & procedures

- Producing reports & matrices to monitor action plans leading to performance results

- Establish excellent understanding of client’s business and provides inputs to engineering teams for tools and services required for creation, coordination and implementation of effective architecture and technology plans.

- Auditing client engagements to ensure compliance to quality standards, contract and customer expectations

- Reviews client engagement performance and strategizes innovative & creative methods for continual improvement

- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures

- Ensures effective cascading of company’s philosophies, strategies and business goals, to the team his and ensures sales growth and excellent customer service.

- Assessing needs of innovative product and services based on customer feedback.

- Work in close cooperation with all key functions and help to maximize business capabilities

- Actively participates in recruitment and conducting hiring exercises

Education & Experience Summary:

B.Tech/ M.Tech from Tier 1 institute such as IIT/ BITS/ NIT with more than 15 years experience in Software Project Management/ Delivery.

- Bachelors degree in engineering with hands-on of about 10-15 years experience in Global IT industry

- Ability to implement innovative & adept technologies to improve existing products and services

- Excellent capabilities in development and deployment of statistical models/ tools

- Extensive experience in managing enterprise IT project life cycle including requirements definition, design, architecture, testing, and maintenance for B2B, and B2C solution implementations.

- Good exposure of Quality standard such as CMMi & Six Sigma will be an added advantage

- Should be a savvy in .Net & Web services related technologies.

- Candidates with ITIL V3 Expert; Six Sigma Black Belt shall be preferred

- Candidates with good blend of experience in software delivery and enterprise processes of a software product development company & Software Consulting Firm will be the ideal fit

- Ability to confidently present and propose technical, quality and business related proposals to top management in an ''entrepreneurial environment'' with action plan for execution

- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to partner effectively across the organization and constructively engage in ''challenging conversations'' with internal and external partners

- Assertive in relationship building with pleasant personality and strong presentation skills.

- Good knowledge & understanding of travel & hospitality industry.

- Client focused with strong belief in persistent focus on client satisfaction & ability to partner with sales & account.

- Team player with ability to demonstrate individual accomplishments are measured for the success of team.

- Strong analytical & articulation skills with ability to develop strategies based on facts & figures and articulate business goals and objectives based on farsightedness

- Strong project management skills as a self starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Highly organized and able to gracefully manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously.

- Ability to collaborate with a variety of team members across multiple functional areas, management/ experience levels, operating styles, and physical locations with ability to effectively drive completion of deliverables.

- Ability to work & comfortable working in an ''entrepreneurial environment'' with high level of flexibility.
