Role: Regional Sales Manager.
Location: Bangalore / Mumbai.
Job Brief:
- Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and closing business opportunities for assigned territory and accounts in their assigned Region, and fully executing against revenue targets.
- Our most successful sales people can position Quantum as the provider of choice amidst aggressive competition by using a solutions-based approach matching our hardware, software and services products to critical customer needs.
What you'll Do:.
- Actively pursue net-new business opportunities with aggressive prospecting into existing accounts and new business prospects; working closely with the Pre-Sales Engineers, Sales Management and Inside Sales Representative to ensure geography-based objectives are being met.
- Build strong relationships with existing and new Quantum Value Added Reseller partners to help identify and close business.
- Manage all RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
- Collaborate as appropriate with business alliance partners and other distributors to expand the reach of our products and services.
- Utilize consultative, solution based selling techniques to identify opportunities for Quantum's broad portfolio of backup and recovery hardware, software and services related to our DXi data de-duplication and tape automation products.
You Must Have:
- Consultative or solutions selling approach is a must and Ability to drive multi-million dollar deals to close with key strategic alliances.
- Demonstrated knowledge of negotiation tactics and persuasive techniques.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others.
- An MBA or Technical degree is a plus but is no substitute for actual on-ground experience.
- Individual must exhibit a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Working knowledge of Primary and Secondary Disk Storage as well as Data Archive.
- Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the followings: -.
- Managing direct end user, marketing and market generation and penetration efforts of the Company.
- Analyzing and understanding the market, customers, competitors, and new business opportunities in order that the business can utilize this market assessment to adapt/enhance its product or service or price offering to maximize growth and profitability.
- To implement agreed strategies and sales tactics through the business sales team by drawing up plans, budgets and sales inspections process as well as providing accurate short-, mediumand long-term forecasts as necessary to support business plans and decisions.
- Work closely with partners or other vendors, when necessary, in the prospect engagement process.
- Preparing and presenting sales proposals to prospect.
- Follow up activities to encourage timely closing of sales.
- Follow through on internal processes to ensure smooth delivery to customers.
- Follow up with timely collection of payments.
- Managing customers to gather feedback and eliminate pain points to establish strong and lasting relationship.
- To assist and take instructions from superior as and when necessary.

- To develop and implement a business strategy which will successfully penetrate the market or territory assigned and, in the process, creates sustainable growth and return on capital employed.
- To achieve revenue, gross profit, or volume target set.

- To constantly update with latest knowledge or technology of our solutions by attending trainings provided by Principals.
- To constantly upgrade one's presentation skills.
