Quantity Surveyor - MECHANICAL ENGINEER + RICS QUALIFICATIONS (SITE BASED)
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Contract Law, Quantity Surveying & Estimation or similar built environment subject
Professional Certifications:- Certifications in project management, contract administration, negotiation, pricing etc. (preferred)
- Association/Membership of a Chartered Institution - ICE/ CIOB/ RICS
Skills:- A proven work experience as a Quantity Surveyor within an Oil & Gas construction company
- Strong writing and record-keeping abilities. Strong IT skills. Strong communication, planning & organizing skills
Experience:- 3 +years of specific experience
- 7+ years of overall professional experience
Language:- English (fluent)
- Arabic (preferred)
GCC EXPOSURE IN THE PAST IS A MUSTPurpose of the job:- Responsible for all day to day to estimation, budgeting, quantifying and cost control activities of the assigned project (s) of the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Activities:
1. Responsible for preparing and analysing project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time. Responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
2. Responsible for drafting and negotiating subcontracts and work schedules. Responsible for allocating work to subcontractors and overseeing their work at all stages of the construction
3. Responsible to perform risk, value management, cost analysis and cost control during construction
4. Responsible for providing all project inputs on contractual claims and disputes
5. Responsible to do remeasurements and certify all subcontract works
6. Responsible for preparing post-award client work estimates. Responsible for doing all remeasurements and preparing client works invoices after final works or milestone works
7. Responsible for maintaining all paper and electronic forms of documentation and updating records on time
8. Responsible for all individual and specific departmental productivity targets, financial objectives, KPIs, and attainment.
