Quant Research Analyst - IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI

Have an urgent opening for Quant Research Analyst

Location: Gurgaon

Exp: 3-5 yrs

Responsibilities Include:

- Conduct research on global regulatory matters in banking, insurance & other financial sectors using quantitative techniques

- Quantitatively validate impact of regulatory developments on banks/ financial institutions business through excel models

- Maintain regular probing and mining of various primary source documents

- Connect with other research/creative staff and other key members to improve and leverage best-practices and insights for enhanced deliverables

- Effectively communicate, both verbal and written, key summary findings and analysis

- Contribute towards specific research papers, forums, and thought leadership initiatives

Role:

Research is a newly created global function that will focus on:

- Collection of Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions data, financial analysis and competitive information, evaluation of key trends, regulatory factors and contribution to product expertise and data sourcing

- Establish creative and multiple sourcing channels for data, news and other information, and build quantitative insights

Proficiently utilize databases like Bloomberg, SNL and company filings to extract large and relevant data required for a research project/ thought leadership exercise.

Use this data to build extensive spreadsheet models to demonstrate quantitative impact of regulatory developments and other events on banks- capital and risk profile

Build Just-in-time calculators (excel based), What-If and Scenario Analysis

Quantitative analysis using VaR, Simulation based models, Multi Factor modelling, Back Testing

- Provide direct input to Business Development effort, on both a regulatory and bank/ other financial institutions basis

- Establish better response to news and announcements related to regulatory, merger, NPL sell off, government and market issues and understanding their quantitative impact on the banks- specific items in income statement and balance sheet (impact on key ratios and metrics)

- Contribute to Thought Leadership output, leveraging content from across the Firm
