Job brief:
Qualicentric is looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead and manage our Controllership Services. Under CS, we provide accounting and reporting services to portfolio companies of our Controller Services (CS) clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Accounting, working like a Group Financial Controller.
In addition, the person will also contribute to the development of financial and operational strategies, KPIs, and the ongoing development and monitoring of the financial performance of portfolio companies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a Team of 5-10 members.
- Act as fractional CFO and provide relevant recommendations.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Responsible for building better customer relationships and dedication.
- Engages with the Client on all aspects of the Project.
- Overseeing the functions like maintaining the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and project accounting.
- Will oversee the data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices pertaining to multiple vendors.
- In charge of timely payment collections and weekly check runs done by his/her team.
- Making sure their team Records and maintains the Books of Accounts in various accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage etc.
- Being in charge for letting their team prepare and deliver of month close accounting within strict deadlines.
- Ensuring their team submissions on Accrual and Cash based accounting and Tax filling at annual level.
- Ensuring their team is Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and ad hoc management accounts to strict deadlines as required.
- Making sure the team is monitoring and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Overseeing the prepared reports at regular intervals (monthly, quarterly and annual) making forecasts on payment flow.
- Oversee the processing and organizing of bills, records and invoices ensuring quality maintenance at every step.
- Ensuring the accounting team is working in the best capacity.
- Confirming that their team is keeping tracks of all payment transactions to be upheld by the company's clients.
- Supervise the recording of Credit card transactions and related reconciliations for all card holders.
- Should look after the team and making sure the members are performing monthly intercompany reconciliations and identify, analyse variances.
- Anticipating and proactively comprehending Client Needs
- Managing expectations and resolving complex and ambiguous issues
- Supports Achievement of target utilization
Requirements:
- 5-12 years of relevant prior experience
- Proven experience at managing and supporting junior team members with client work and career progression.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Problem solver and critical thinker mindset
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databases, preferably QuickBooks and XERO
