This impactful leader will be responsible for building and executing the talent strategy for the region in alignment with the global talent strategy in support of the business. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Functional & Strategic Leadership:
- Lead and manage the India TA Function including Lateral Hiring, Campus Hiring & University Relations and Contingent workforce management to deliver to the overall TA strategy, policies and procedures.
- Define & execute a compelling regional Talent Acquisition Strategy to attract top technical talent by designing relevant and / new programs and processes to facilitate req fulfilment to meet the unique talent needs of the region; including a special focus on niche and difficult-to-fill technical skillsets.
- Define strategies to build and showcase Qualcomms employer Brand as an attractive talent destination.
- Create process for exceptional candidate care and candidate experience including new hire onboarding by leveraging industry talent acquisition best practices.
- Oversee the employee referral program by maintaining its appeal amongst employees & ensuring policy compliance
- Continue to build Qualcomm's brand in the top engineering campuses in India through sharp hiring strategies and year long University Relations initiatives.
- Oversee definition and deployment of multiple internship roadmaps to secure talent for Qualcomm
- Provide leadership & direction to Qualcomms Managed Services Provider to oversee the Contingent Workforce strategy including fast pace hiring of temp staff, running various operational processes efficiently and managing the vendor partners using metrics.
- Create & report out overall TA metrics to monitor and optimize all areas of the recruitment process including Quality of hire, Time to fill, Candidate pool, diversity, etc.
- Continuously develop new approaches to solve problems with significant impact to project deliverables
- Remain current in the use of cutting-edge recruiting technology and tools, e.g. LinkedIn recruiter, best-in-class ATS and other platforms
- Drive the new ATS implementation- testing, implementation & transition and future enhancements applicable to India.
- Be responsible for delivery of Diversity &Inclusion Targets for India Team leadership
- Lead the India TA team to high performance standards including delivering best-in-class staffing support to candidates, hiring managers, leaders and other stakeholders like Universities, staff augmentation vendors, etc.
- Inspire the TA team by investing in their development, learning and overall engagement.
- Responsible for managing department budgets. Collaboration & Partnership:
- Work across lines of business, multiple functional areas, technology areas & various locations in India to provide cohesive, efficient & effective staffing support.
- Partner with the TA Center of Expertise to ensure the global talent strategy meets the business needs of India
- Collaborating with HR leads in region to further the goals of TA.
- Support setting up of the offshore Sourcing team for the Americas region
Experience:
- 10+ years TA work experience
- 8+ years Management experience including people management.
- Talent acquisition experience that includes agency recruiting as well as in house corporate recruiting.
- 5+ years working in global technology organization.
- Experience recruiting employees throughout the career life cycle including Interns.
- Domestic and international travel might be required.
- Continuous communication which includes sharing information with colleagues, customers, direct reports, and vendors both in person and remotely via conference/skype calls and email.
Education: asters of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources
