Qualcomm - Manager/Sr Manager - Category Management - Construction & Facility Management

Job Overview:

Reporting within the Qualcomm Source2Pay Organization, the ideal candidate will have significant experience in strategic sourcing and sourcing operations in support of global and regional construction and facilities management. End-to-end responsibilities related to commercial and contract management of construction and facility management in India. Accountable for strategy planning, project management & delivery, budgeting, operational excellence, cost optimization, process improvements, contract management, vendor management, compliances and stakeholder management

Job Duties will include the following:

- Strategic sourcing supporting construction & facility management/operation services.

- Will handle multiple project delivery methods, including but not limited to Competitive Bid (Design-Bid-Build), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Design-Assist, Design-Build, and Owner-Builder.

- Develop, maintain and implement a long-term strategic plan for regional construction activity and ensure all projects deliver maximum value.

- Exercise sound judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply for regional construction projects.

- Lead/conduct formal competitive bid activities; determine and capture specific cost savings and quality improvements.

- Manage all types of contracts made with customers, vendors or partners; negotiating terms & conditions and ensuring compliance with the same

- Develop supplier relationship management strategies and optimize supply base moving toward strategic suppliers.

- Travel to contractor/supplier and/or Qualcomm project locations as required.

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum of 10+ year's strategic sourcing/category management directly supporting global and regional construction and facilities management. Experience in establishing and executing complex sourcing strategies, contract management, materials management, vendor management, stakeholder management in construction and facilities business.

Preferred Qualifications :

Strong Construction/Facilities sourcing and category management background. Experience with Oracle Primavera/Unifier (highly preferred) or Zycus (iSource). Considerable knowledge of construction/engineering principles and practices. Experience working within a dynamic, fast paced global engineering environment. Ability to be a team player who is flexible, able to multi-task, manage and drive multiple concurrent projects with focus on providing value through reduced cost and improved process efficiencies

Educational Requirements :

Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration/Engineering (Construction Management or related field)
