PwC - Senior Solutions Architect - Financial Services/Banking & Lending Domain

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect specializing in financial services core banking and lending solutions. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the architecture of core banking and lending systems for our financial services clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and drive the strategic direction of the technology solution. This position that requires a deep understanding of financial services, core banking systems, lending processes, and architecture design.

Responsibilities:

1. Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of core banking and lending solutions, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and integration with existing systems. Define and document the overall architecture, including data models, application frameworks, and integration patterns.

2. Infrastructure and Deployment: Design the infrastructure architecture for core banking and lending systems including cloud sizing, network and security requirements. Develop deployment strategies and implement fully automated, scalable and reliable deployment processes

3. Technology Strategy: Develop the strategic vision for core banking and lending systems, aligning it with the client's business objectives. Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enable innovation and optimize system performance.

4. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and developers, to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

5. System Integration: Define integration strategies and patterns to enable seamless data flow between core banking systems, lending platforms, and other relevant applications. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

6. Risk and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices in the design and implementation of core banking and lending solutions. Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to address any potential risks or vulnerabilities.

7. Performance Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and optimization to enhance system responsiveness, scalability, and reliability. Monitor system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for improvement.

8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and provide recommendations for effective solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and architecting financial services core banking and lending solutions.

- Deep understanding of core banking systems, lending processes, and financial services industry standards.

- Strong knowledge of architecture design principles, patterns, and methodologies.

- Experience with integration technologies, such as APIs, ESBs, and service-oriented architectures.

- Proficiency in enterprise-level programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and database technologies including distributed systems

- Hands on experience with cloud-based solutions and microservices architectures

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to trade-off between technical debt and client as well as commercial needs

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
