Roles & Responsibilities:
Positions are with PwC's Government and Public Service practice which works with central government, state governments, PSUs, donor agencies etc. Key responsibilities will include
1) Project delivery
- On allocated accounts, contribute to/lead teams and ensure successful client delivery, including identifying and addressing emerging issues, securing deployment of adequate and appropriate resources, delivering all client commitments within time/budget constraints, effective reporting and meeting/exceeding PwC's client service and quality standards.
- Identify additional opportunities that maybe be strategic and viable for PwC
- Assist with advising teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and act as the first point of contact for any program management queries
- Develop positive relationships with teams to enable the PMO to provide support including facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects, and training
- Assist with establishing PMO stakeholder management plan and implementation of the communication framework
- Act as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management
- Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels
- Coordination of project Governance arrangements, Post Project Reviews, Programme level workshops
2) Team development: Contribute to building the team by mentoring, retaining, attracting, and developing some of the best available talent.
3) Business Development: Work, in a collaborative manner, alongside the campaign leaders and other teams to pursue and respond to client opportunities.
Education and Experience:
- The candidate should possess 2-3 years (for consultant), 4-6 years (for Senior Consultant)_ and 6+ years (for Manager) of post-qualification relevant experience of working in a top tier Strategy/Consulting/IT/ITES firm
- Strong client delivery orientation, clean reputation and credibility with key clients in their space for delivering client value.
- Hands-on approach to Project management
- Experience of working with Indian Government/Agencies is preferred. However this will not be a mandatory requirement.
- History of strong academic performance, preferably in top tier engineering and Business Schools; advanced degree preferred.
Skills required:
- PMO experience and knowledge of project management
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and other project management tools
- Proven record of timeliness in providing reports to all stakeholders
- Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
- Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of the importance for detail and organisation
- Very good prioritisation skills to balance key priorities
- A strong customer centric approach
- A PMP/Prince 2 certification preferred
