The Valuations Group specializes in valuation of wide spectrum of businesses, shares and assets (tangible and intangible) that assists clients in taking key decisions in several areas including, strategic transactions (such as acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and joint ventures), internal/financial restructuring, tax, strategic decision making and legal issues.
We are seeking a Valuation Manager to join a growing team of professionals in our Bangalore office.
Job Description:
The Manager will lead in the execution of valuation engagements. Key responsibilities will include:
- Performing independent valuations of businesses, tangible and intangible assets for various purposes listed above;
- Creating/analyzing financial models and analyzing commercial data underlying financial forecasts;
- Supervising and mentoring senior associates and associates on valuations engagements;
- Building and maintaining client relationships before, during and after engagements;
- Helping in pitching for new engagements/clients, including the preparation and presentation of proposals;
- Working closely with Partners, Directors and staff on client management and development activities.
Skills and Requirements:
The Manager should have:
- Excellent academic background preferably with a professional qualification in accounting or post graduate degree/diploma in business from tier 1 institutes;
- Progress towards or achievement of CFA certification is a plus;
- Ideally 5 to 7 years of valuation experience acquired with Big 4 firms (front or back office) and/or financial institutions;
- Strong understanding of business valuation concepts;
- Superior analytical, problem solving and report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of commercial value drivers/dynamics;
- Good command on financial modelling skills;
- Advanced skills set in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; exposure to databases such as Bloomberg, CapitalIQ etc.;
- Be a self-motivated individual who understands financial issues and is able to operate within a team environment with strong work ethics;
- Ability to work independently and develop good relationships with senior management and Partners/Directors;
- High proficiency in both verbal and written English is essential;
- Flexibility in response to potential travel requirements for client engagements.
