Capital Project Service Vertical is a specialist business unit, housed within GRID (Government Reforms & Infrastructure Development) of PwC's Consulting/Advisory Business and is focused on delivering projects from start to end, in time, and on budget. Our aim is to maximise wallet share by offering, in an integrated and comprehensive manner, our entire suite of services that becomes necessary for a project over its development life cycle - from concept to commissioning.
PwC's Capital Projects team ensures excellence throughout the life cycle- from conceptualisation through delivery to project closure and a smooth transition to operations, thereby ensuring successful execution and enhancement of stakeholder value. Education Requirements:
- Should have Masters Degree in Engineering / Business Administration from a reputed and recognized university or institutions.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in all facets and domains of infrastructure with appropriate experience in planning / supervision / project appraisal of large cities and industrial regions with allied infrastructure preferably related to Inland Waterways / Coastal Shipping / Port Sector.
- The Project Managers should have exposure of commercial ventures / business models.
- Minimum 5 years with at least two programs in leadership capacity with accountability and responsibility for performance including quality, budget, schedule, client and stakeholder management. The Project Managers should preferably have international experience of similar nature.
General Job Description:
- Will be the single point of contact for one (1) or more National Inland/Waterways/Ports and other projects entrusted to Client from time to time.
- Will be responsible for providing directions to his / her team and should ensure that the projects are delivered as per the requirements in each National Waterway assigned to him / her.
- Should be responsible to provide strategic direction through program roadmap / strategy development and ensure client gets maximum benefit for the investments being undertaken and projects being planned.
- Provide comments and opinions sought by the departments / implementing agencies under the State / Central government with respect to the IWT Sector being developed / implemented. The nature of queries may pertain to methodology, documents or processes with respect to the projects.
- Develop plans for capability building and skills transfer that covers all mission-critical activities and processes through defining of governance structures, organizational constructs
- Assisting client in project promotion and marketing through meetings / presentations with financial institutions, private industry groups etc.
- Assisting client in streamlining the fund flows required for implementing the client Sector Development.
- Provide technical support to client by regularly appraising, supervising, reviewing, monitoring consultants appointed by client, review and appraisal of reports / proposals given by States to client.
- Assist client in finalization of financial and legal structuring related aspects of client projects of States / DG Shipping etc.
- Responsible for development of the Governance and Organisation including but not limited to overall programme management, strategy development, project interface management, plans, controls and performance.
