Job Description
Purpose is seeking an experienced, creative and agile Digital Campaigner who has experience in digital campaign execution across a range of client-service and funder-driven projects. This is a chance to gain hands-on experience developing and executing movements online, working with an incredibly diverse team of thinkers whose common goal is to change the world. You will become part of exciting projects focused on mobilizing citizens for climate action in India.

Job Responsibilities
In this role, you are expected to:
- Develop digital media engagement strategy for the campaign. This could include:
- Develop dissemination plans for digital tactics that are designed to meet the campaign's impact goals
- Working with creative and campaign leads to maintain the campaign's content calendar which captures campaign peaks, weekly social media post plans with key messages.
- Come up with innovative tactics and ideas for digital engagement for audiences in multiple states. This should include some amount of audience research into audiences like young people in Maharashtra cities, farming communities in Tamil Nadu, MSMEs and health workers in Bihar.
- Working with the campaign team to plan and execute digital events
- Working with Purpose partners and their channels to create, post and promote content
- Daily management of campaign social media handles and digital engagement. This will include writing copies for graphics, social media posts, running promotions, generating leads and responding to comments and messages across campaign channels.
- Implement paid media advertising on social media networks, such as Facebook, Business Manager and Twitter Ads.
- Work with the creative team and partners in the field to collect material (videos, audio clips, reports) and convert them into engaging content (videos, graphics, posts) for a variety of audiences, including rural communities in states like Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
- Draft and design mailers to engage campaign audiences
- Maintain campaign audience database
- Gather and regularly update project monitoring templates (dashboard, pre and post perception surveys etc) for monitoring, measurement and evaluation of the digital campaign engagement.
- Undertake social listening for your campaigns to run responsive posts
- Actively look for rapid response opportunities that align with campaign's goals, and develop tactics with the support of the campaign team.
ABOUT YOU :
- You are a strategic thinker and have a good understanding of nonprofit and advocacy communications
- You have experience running advertising through social media that deliver measurable and impactful results, which support the goals of a wider campaign
- You carry high personal integrity, with commitment to creating progressive change in the world
- You are familiar with digital campaigning and movement-building, and/or issue areas of strong relevance to Purpose's mission
- You have knowledge and experience in the execution of best practices in email marketing and/or social media management
- You have 3-5 years of combined email and social media experience
- You are a skilled writer, especially in email and social media formats, and are able to adjust to multiple style guides and sender/brand voices
- You have a track record of having successfully managed large email lists and/or social media followings.
- You have fluency in some (or all) commonly used analytic tools such as Meltwater, Lately Social, Keyhole, Buffer, Pulsar, google web analytics, and more.
- Basic knowledge of visual design tools (Photoshop etc)
- A strong understanding of audiences and up-to-date knowledge on current trends on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
- You have experience in message testing and narrative building to meet a campaign's goals.
- You have experience is developing messaging and distribution plan for meeting campaign impact metrics
- You have knowledge and experience in the execution of best practices in email marketing and/or social media management
