Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies for all electrical and electronic components, including switchgears.
- Forecast market trends and identify changes in pricing to optimize procurement decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers, focusing on value engineering and cost reduction.
- Establish and develop benchmarking standards for vendor performance and evaluate alternative parts for potential sourcing.
- Develop import strategies that prioritize quality, reduced lead times, and cost control.
- Oversee the sheet metal fabrication process to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Vendor Management & Negotiation:
- Lead vendor selection processes and build strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
- Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies to secure the best possible terms for purchases.
- Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
Process Improvement & Performance Management:
- Continuously monitor and analyze purchasing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to improve key functional metrics related to efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering and production teams.
- Ensure strong credit control practices while keeping pace with upcoming demand levels
