About our client, we perform full engine restorations, hospital & surgical repairs, piece parts and module repairs, engine trading, and field service support anywhere in the world, providing unmatched response times and extraordinary customer service. We are a high-performance FAA 145 / EASA Certified Repair Station and a CASE registered organization.
What You Will Do: The Purchasing agent will be responsible for negotiating major supplier contracts to achieve cost reductions, improved payment terms, inventory reduction and terms and conditions executing and leading the day-to-day procurement activities.
- Manage day-to-day execution of the purchasing function.
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to advise business managers of procurement strategies.
- Perform product and process analysis for cost reduction, departmental quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Perform supplier risk assessments.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Enhance procurement process and system robustness by proposing, implementing, and standardizing best practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing including lessons learned, best practice, and other benchmarking.
- Develop purchasing strategies, partner with suppliers, and negotiate discounts.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Minimum five (2-5) years of Procurement/Purchasing experience is required in a fast paced manufacturing environment Or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have experience with CFM engines product line
