15 to 25 yrs exp. Supplier negotiations, Cost management, capacity management, cost reduction, vendor development and management, Parts to build alternator. Copper, electoral steel, wound components, shaft and bar, casting, aluminium and cast iron.

Soft Skills : Risk Mitigations, team handling, leadership qualities, communication skills.

Responsibilities :

- A techno-commercial professional with 15-25 years of work experience in Engineering / Automobile Industry to drive the Sourcing Strategies across business unit, with global sourcing reviews, lead responsibility for multi-plants Sourcing of 4000+ items to drive process efficiency on improvements with YoY Cost Reduction @ 3% through Lean Manufacturing, Localization, Outsourcing, Automation, Six Sigma and System Upgradations for a spend of about INR 350 Crs. per annum.

- Defines project scopes, mitigates supply risks and identifies + drives Cost Reduction opportunities across business units. May also support procurement as it relates to new product developments, if any. Implements policies and metrics to ensure the best combination of Cost, Quality and Delivery. Work experience at a Global Souring / MNC will be preferred.

- Manages sourcing and purchasing strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, and optimizing business processes.

- Determines and helps businesses manage demand and supplier capacity.

- Manages regional, commodity, and/or new product purchasing teams.

- Promotes alignment of purchasing strategy with business unit and supply chain goals.

- Identifies, plans, and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.

- Builds strong relationships with key suppliers.

- Validates sourcing and contract activities of sourcing teams.

- Fosters communication among key purchasing stakeholders across business units and functions.

- Drives total cost reductions across the entire supply chain.

- Establishes purchasing target process and oversees teams delivery against those targets.

- Identifies opportunities and leads continuous improvement activities within key processes.

- Leads, manages and coaches teams, provides active feedback and delivers recommendations for training and development opportunities among staff members

Qualification : BE/BTech (Mechanical or electrical or electronics), MBA preferred
