ABOUT THE COMPANY :   Pune already is the 4th largest start-up city in India . With all the right ingredients to support the start-ups including 800+ colleges, strong youth population, highest density of research institute, distinctive tech and manufacturing presence and low cost of living as compared to other Tier I cities, it aspires to be amongst the top 2 start-up cities in India over the next 5 years.   In order to foster the eco-system it has been decided by PSCDCL (Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited) to create an organisation which will act as a single point of interaction for all start-up related activities in Pune (start-ups, mentors, investors, incubators, accelerators etc.).   SUMMARY :   The start-up hub CEO will be the key person responsible for developing and fostering the start-up ecosystem in Pune using the start-up hub and start-up zones as launchpads. He/she will be responsible for coordinating with various government agencies, managing start-up hub and zone operations including interactions with the different incubators housed through Pune Idea Factory and overall finance management.  ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :  The broad roles and responsibilities of the CEO shall cover but are not limited to the following activities:  Start-up Hub Management :   - Responsible to the board for the delivery of the overall KPIs as set for the Pune Idea Factory   - Manage the start-up hub personnel  - Project manage development of the start-up hub portal including engagement with relevant stakeholders  - Define the overall budget for the hub and secure approval from the board for the same   - Track performance against budget on a period basis and report the same to the board along with deviation reporting   - Develop a self-sustaining business model to cover the operating expenses of running the start-up hub and zone  - Actively seek CSR funds and grants to further develop and manage the start-up hub  - Ensure prudent utilization of funds provided to start-up hub   Ecosystem Development :   - Conduct outreach to key stakeholders in the start-up ecosystem such as start-ups, investors, accelerators, incubators, corporates, academic and research institutions etc.  - Develop a cross sector cross functional active mentor base  - Engage the local Pune investor community for angel and seed stage funding  - Lead the creation, sourcing and development of high quality learning opportunities for entrepreneurs  Start-up Zone Management :   - Promote start-up zone to ensure high occupancy  - Onboard relevant partners to lease space for incubators, accelerators, centers of excellence   - Create and run a website to consolidate and share information about the Start-up ecosystem in the city of Pune  - Periodically review tenants on pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)  - Regularly conduct events to benefit the tenants of the start-up zone and the wider start-up community in Pune  Coordinate with Government Agencies  - Be the primary point of contact for coordinating with the Pune Municipal Corporation and Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL)  - Regularly provide policy related inputs to the government agencies for promoting Pune as a start-up city  Promote Pune as a Start-up City  - Promote Pune as a preferred destination for start-ups in national and international forums  - Develop and own a marquee Pune start-up event property  - Publish reports on Pune's start-up ecosystem journey   - Publish and promote success stories of different start-ups in Pune  - Assist non Pune businesses to expand in or relocate to the Pune area  ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :   - Graduate in any stream with minimum of 10 years of work experience or a Master's in Business Administration with minimum of 5 years of work experience  - Fluent in English (oral and written communication)  DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :   - Past entrepreneurial experience either in own venture (minimum of 2 years) or as one of the first 10 employees in a start-up (minimum of 2 years)  - Past experience of working with similar set-ups (incubators, accelerators, angel investors, venture capitalists etc.)   SALARY RANGE :  Rs. 20-35 lakhs per annum  LOCATION : Pune  ROLE TYPE : Full Time  APPLICATION PROCESS  Fill in the application form (<a href="https://docs.google.com/a/iimjobs.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScOvx9HPfYEOm3-fHZi7p270fb3O1x90Pj5pUtfmZMfVoCwPw/viewform"> Click Here</a> for the form)
