What does this role hold for you?

- The Business Engagement and Strategy team plays a critical role in driving growth strategy & monetization efforts for the company and is at the forefront of all business-related decisions. The tasks of designing & executing sales strategy along with related operations/processes lie with this team.

- We are looking to add a Senior Manager for the Business Engagement and Strategy Team, someone with significant analytics and program management experience along with a proven track record of people management. We are looking for someone who is excited about sales strategy & operations and can conceive & execute new business ideas, products, and processes.

- The incumbent shall work with the BES team to develop, implement, and manage business processes, systems, reports, and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. He/she will partner with the Housing business development team to deeply understand how to effectively serve our customers, think strategically about the business direction, and lead projects to create business value, aligning multiple stakeholders.

- Additionally, the incumbent shall drive improvements in reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to internal and external stakeholders. This position also manages the administration and execution of the goals, which includes the segmentation of business goals and measurement of goal attainment. He/she will also drive reviews of strategic opportunities and propose improvements to increase business efficiency and effectiveness in achieving desired results for Housing.

- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the CXOs for various strategic and execution related initiatives - all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. The position requires excellent analytical skills, strong communication, and should be able to create compelling data reports & presentations for use by internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

a) The individual will be a key member of the Housing Business Engagement & Strategy team responsible for building and running business planning and review efforts, strategic initiatives and supporting the overall operating cadence of the business. The person will partner closely with leadership team as well as with cross-functional leaders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, HR and Finance.

b) Stakeholder Management and Strategic Partnership: Be a go-to trusted business partner and influencer for sales leaders and key executives on growth initiatives and special projects. Maximize business performance by being a thought partner to the sales organization. Develop strong collaborative relationships functions to drive analytical and/or planning initiatives.

c) Planning and Go-to-market design: Frame decisions and contribute a strong point of view on how to build out the business. Be the person that can connect the dots between teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration. Design and flawlessly execute on annual and quarterly planning in partnership with key cross-functional partners, drive thoughtful strategy and resource budgeting plans (e.g., headcount) across teams. Collaborate on go-to-market design decisions including product design, pricing & packaging, distribution & customer segmentation.

d) Operating Cadence/ Rhythm of business: Drive key business processes and cadence of operations (e.g., goal-setting, revenue review, KPI reviews). Drive operational excellence in the sales organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved and repeatable processes and approaches.

e) Strategic knowledge & insights: Develop outstanding insights on our markets, competitors, and business trends, and disseminate this knowledge across Housing to inform key decisions

f) Project management: Leading cross-functional projects which directly impact business products and sales processes. Work in concurrence with the product and tech teams to work on the development of internal tools and CRM that promotes business growth and helps in identifying areas of improvement

g) Strategic projects and initiatives: Identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth. Design and execute data driven product & pricing strategy for the organization by analyzing inventory trend, competition pricing and paying capacity of the target segment

h) Scale services and tools: Design processes and procedures that scale with the business' growth in volume, complexity, and geographic dispersion. Develop and implement important features on the internal Sales CRM to drive sales productivity and build necessary process controls along with efficient tracking of key sales KRAs

i) Data driven business insights: Lead operational reviews, rhythm of business and business analysis including revenue, customer, and market analysis. Drive impactful analyses on major revenue and product trends, including revenue performance, product adoption, leading revenue indicators, productivity and sales effectiveness which inform executives and management of revenue upside opportunity and risks.

j) Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery/presentation of business models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions

k) Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, performance against goals, etc. Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making and minimize overall report burden.

l) Exploring and defining which projects the team should prioritize, and setting a timeline to reach goals quickly

m) Manage a team of 3 - 5 individual contributors

Apply if you have:

a) An MBA/Engineering Degree from top B-School/Engineering institute with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Business Planning, Strategy, Finance, Consulting or other related fields

b) Experience hiring and managing high-performing teams with at least 2 years of people management experience

c) Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tool utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, etc.

d) Program Management and Operations experience working independently, managing multiple concurrent projects, and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment with time constraints and sometimes conflicting deadlines requiring one to stretch

e) Proven ability in storytelling and presentations utilizing tools such as PowerPoint and Google slides

f) Strong business-process and system design experience

g) Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results

h) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management

i) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

j) Hands-on and in-depth experience in using MS office products specifically MS Excel & PowerPoint is a must; Proficiency with additional data tools like Tableau, Power BI etc. is a plus

k) Proficiency in VBA, Macros, MS Access, Google Sheet Scripts and SQL is a plus

l) Skill to break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data

m) Experience in prioritization of deliverables and tasks

n) Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial

o) Intellectually curious and a fast learner, be able to work independently and be comfortable with ambiguity, whilst keeping focused on high impact projects.

p) Ability to execute at a strategic level and roll up the sleeves and do the work; easily able to shift from one to the other

q) Disciplined in setting and managing priorities and results and holding people to account
