Role Summary:
Efficient management of multiple student housing facilities. Responsible for maintaining a high standard of living for resident Students, overseeing day-to-day operations, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the overall experience of the facility.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Property Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of student housing properties. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of facilities, common areas, and living spaces.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities promptly and efficiently.
Health & Safety:
- Implement and uphold strict health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of resident student and overall property. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities to stay abreast of health and safety regulations and implement necessary updates.
Food, Beverage & Mess:
- Oversee the management of on-site dining facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and quality. Collaborate with local vendors to provide diverse and nutritious food options for resident students.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve food and beverage services based on resident preferences and dietary needs.
Student Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive living environment for students. Address resident concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Organize community-building events and activities to enhance the overall student experience. Establish and maintain relationships with student groups to enhance overall satisfaction.
Sales & Occupancy Management:
- Ensure high occupancy rates through effective marketing strategies and resident retention programs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns that highlight the unique features and benefits of company's student housing facilities.
Budget Management & Reporting:
- Develop and manage property budgets, including operating expenses and capital improvements. Monitor budget vs. actual expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
- Prepare budgetary and financial reports for review meetings. Provide regular updates on property performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics.
Operational Excellence:
- Implement operational processes that enhance efficiency and ensure a high standard of service for students.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in all operational aspects.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service and timely completion of projects.
Sustainability:
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives like energy-efficient systems, waste reduction programs, and sustainable landscaping to reduce the environmental impact of student housing facilities.
- Educate resident students on sustainable living practices and promote a culture of environmental responsibility within the community.
Professional Background & Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Hotel Management, or similar discipline.
- Proven experience in property management, preferably in student housing, Co-living, or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of local housing regulations and compliance.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in understanding and implementing high-quality service standards in accommodation facilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
