This startup attempts to inject trust, transparency and professionalism in India's rapidly growing real estate sector.

Properji is a one-stop shop for all matters concerning buying, selling and advice on property matters. It addresses the needs of upwardly mobile, technologically savvy professionals. The market for such a service is huge. In Bangalore alone, the average annual addition in IT/ITeS workforce for the past 2 years has been over 100,000. In just one year in 2011, there were 44,000 new residential units launched in Bangalore. Properji.com is a platform where professionals come for their real estate needs, which is then fulfilled through Properji-affiliated brokers and channel partners.
Properji was founded by enthusiastic professionals from IIM, IIT, Wharton, FMS-Delhi and Georgetown University. With a rich experience in customer orientation and wide range of experience in Real Estate, IT Consulting, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Non-Profit, Marketing and Consulting in the Big4, we are promoting an entirely new way of making property decisions. This multi-talented team also boasts of adventure enthusiasts who have interests in skydiving, bungee jumping, river rafting, nature enthusiasts, people who can speak 7 languages and also a good proficiency in Spanish and French.
Properji is funded by and is part of Invact (www.invact.com), which is an US based incubator of startups with focus on real estate, education, e-commerce and other service sectors in India. The company is run like a Silicon Valley Bay Area technology start-up combining creativity, ideation and invention with execution and action in the market to come up with radically new and different solutions that will delight the customers.
Role Overview
This candidate will lead the marketing efforts at Properji, both in the online and in the offline space. Key initiatives in the pipeline are complete overhaul of the website, renewed thrust on social media channels and direct marketing.
This role is likely to interest those who are entrepreneurial, like being in the thick of action and have the necessary perseverance to get things done despite infrastructural and logistical challenges as in a startup.
Properji.com, being an early stage, technology-driven startup, the job offers significant learning opportunity to start marketing from scratch and scale it up as the demand grows. In addition to a fixed pay, there will be variable pay with significant upside, linked to customer conversions as well as meaningful opportunity for career-growth and progression in line with the growth of the company.
Qualifications:
1. Education: MBA preferred
2. Experience: 3 to 6 years. Those with startup experience preferred
3. Solid work experience related to managing web portal, SEM/SEO, social media, digital marketing, online brand building, email campaigns, blogging and online forums
4. Understanding and/or experience in Real Estate buying and selling
5. “Can do” attitude and comfort with working in fast paced, unstructured start-up environment
6. High degree of flexibility and adaptability to evolve one’s role based on changing organizational needs
