Project Manager_ Tourism / Events _ UAE
- Manages project timelines, budgets, resources allocation and quality of deliverables.
- Works as a member of team in helping to establish a regulatory authority for the new business.
- Works with other government agencies including but not limited RAK ICC, RAKEZ, Police, Civil Defence, Health Related Services, Ministries within the UAE, and any other government agencies as deemed necessary. Develops and maintains relationship with vendors and external partners as needed.
- Develops and updates project plans including milestones, scope of work and deliverables.
- Communicates with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensures quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develops presentations, reports, and other key metrics for communication to leadership and committees. Contributes to the development of new quality metrics. Leads project meetings as necessary. Serves as a clearing house for requests that may come in related to relevant sectors in RAK.
- Ensures compliance with project management best practices and methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned by Company.
Resource Management:
- Develops/assists in budget requests for resources.
- Works with resource managers in order to effectively align resources across projects.
- Manages work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of project efforts.
- Evaluates project performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Risk Management:
- Identifies the elements of risk in all given projects.
- Analyses and prioritizes project risks and assesses its potential impact to company or the client.
- Develops and maintains risk plans, processes and systems in order to mitigate risk.
- Creates action plan for risks and follows through on plan.
- Maintains issue list, proactively escalating issues to project and departmental leadership to mitigate risk.
- Recommends and takes action to direct analysis and solution of problems.
- Develops a communication plan to convey project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests and critical issues to the client and project team.
- Assesses the effectiveness of the interaction and communication with the client and project team.
