Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Data Analytics
Role Description
- The candidate would be a key member of the Data Analytics team and would work in close collaboration with the Actuarial team in Allianz UK
- The candidate is expected to lead multiple analytics projects for General insurance covering all areas of General Insurance.
- The candidate should be able to act as a mediator between team members and stakeholders;
- Clearly, communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders;
- Track and report on project milestones; provide status reports to sponsors, and ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.
- The candidate should be able to develop and conceptualize sophisticated and innovative analytical solutions and actionable insights with a high level of business understanding
- The candidate should be able to interact with clients on a regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework.
- The candidate will work with project sponsors and stakeholders to shape new analytics projects - scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timings.
- The candidate should aim to become a trusted partner forall sponsors and stakeholders - engagingin capability showcases including onsite visits for opportunity assessment, discussions and piloting solutions.
- The candidate should have knowledge of techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, GLM, Segmentation, Clustering, Text mining and Decision Trees.
Skills and Experience
- 9 - 12yrs. of data analytics experience, with 4+ yrs. of Project management experience.
- Strong people management skills; the experience of coaching and developing others.
- Experience in P&C Insurance analytics (Claims, Pricing, and Marketing).
- In-depth understanding of P&C Insurance concepts
- B.Tech/B.E or MBA or Masters in Statistics/Economics/OR from tier 1 colleges / universities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and customer management skills.
- Key technical skills: SAS, R, SPSS, VBA, SQL, CART, Statistical modeling, Insurance tools like Emblem, ResQ, etc.
- Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
