MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the OPER Transformation Team, the main responsibilities of the Project Manager are as follows
- Frame the mission objective and follow appropriate methodology and governance in coordination with the Project and /or Program Manager, to ensure deliveries are made on time
- Leads organizational tasks independently in accordance with the objectives of the Sponsor
Drives and unites contributors of the mission for achieving the objective
Provides permanent control on the mission in terms of challenges and risks
- Act as a high standard service provider for our internal clients to meet their expectations and satisfaction in term of mission deliverables, governance and communication. Should contribute to convey an OPER ORG image of professional. Ability to communicate clearly about the missions (planning, resources, constraints, priorities)
- Analyse and assess potential impact of the mission to other teams, processes and departments to ensure delivery of sponsor objectives
- Plan and lead workshops with stake holders to obtain conclusive inputs and feedback
- Identify and raise alerts - Report to management the progress on the mission as well as potential issues / decision needed, attention points should be raised to the right person at the right time
- Work in pairs with Paris, London, Asia remotely to efficiently execute mission deliverables. This is to be done in a productive environment, promoting team spirit and professionalism.
- Participate and contribute to discussions on mission returns on experience, attend weekly Paris Opco meetings to ensure seamless integration of Paris, Asia, NY, London and Bangalore teams.
- Cooperation and participation to the improvement of the Transformation team efficiency: transfer of knowledge/expertise to the new joiners, knowledge sharing, standardization of reporting, trainings on methodology, communication about best practices or new ideas
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
The department OPER - Transformation is responsible for:
- Supporting Operations Teams in their transformation strategy,
- Provide key services to Project Sponsors on various missions, summarised as below
- Framing transformation roadmap or Program
- Reorganization studies
- Rationalization / creation of business processes,
- Coordination of cross-functional projects
- To participate in the identification and selection of various strategies for OPER
In this context, the Project Manager manages and executes the mission in accordance with the confidential policy laid by the sponsor.
KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Strong Project Management skills
- Strong knowledge in operational macro processes of different asset classes - trade capture, booking controls, confirmation, settlement, payment, reconciliation
- Able to work in high pressure environment
- Very good communication skills both written and Oral - able to adapt communication to all levels.
- Good skills to lead contributions to the project
- Good understanding of Front to Back trade processes
- Former experience in CIB operations and operations knowledge in different asset classes is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
- 8-12 years experience in Investment Banking, with minimum 4-5 years as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Transversal role
