Project Manager - IFRS 17 - IT

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager with experience in IFRS 17 implementation and a background in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and should be well-versed with the SDLC process. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and hands-on involvement in technical aspects are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end delivery of IFRS 17 related projects across cross-functional teams.

- Work closely with finance, actuarial, data, and IT teams to ensure smooth implementation.

- Manage project planning, timelines, risk, and change management.

- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards specific to IFRS 17.

- Use project management tools (Azure DevOps / Jira) for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting.

- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on progress and addressing issues proactively.

- Bridge the gap between technical and business teams to drive delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience in managing IFRS 17 projects.

- Strong understanding of insurance business processes and data.

- Hands-on experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

- Familiarity with SDLC phases and practices.

- Proficient in using Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent PM tools.

- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certifications.

- Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.

- Experience working with actuarial or finance systems in insurance companies.
