Project Manager cum Business Analyst - US Healthcare Domain
Job Overview:
We are hiring for a Senior Buisness Analyst in the exciting journey of developing a new healthcare product aimed at simplifying Medicare and Medicaid processes for US healthcare industry. This person will directly work with the Product Owner to create a product that solves the challenges in the US healthcare market using innovative technologies. This role is perfect for those with a background in product development, particularly in the healthcare sector, and a keen interest in AI and healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Roadmap and Feature Backlog: Work with the product owner to develop product roadmap and feature backlog, aligning with the strategic goals of the product. Lead the requirement gathering process of a new healthcare product, ensuring it addresses market needs while complying with healthcare regulations.
2. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with the Product Owner to gather and analyze product requirements. Engage in as-is process mapping and design to-be process flows for optimal product functionality and user experience. Define various user personas, including senior patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare brokers, physicians and nurse practitioners, to ensure the product aligns with their needs and expectations.
3. Healthcare Industry Research: Conduct in-depth research into US healthcare industry challenges and opportunities. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify unmet needs, competitor analysis, and market opportunities in the healthcare sector.
4. Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile ceremonies and processes like sprint planning, sprint demo, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog. This includes breaking down complex features into manageable user stories and tasks, ensuring they are well-defined and actionable for the development team.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Technical Solution Architects, UX Designers, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure cohesive product development and delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the Product Owner and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product goals.
6. Performance Metrics: Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring product success and guiding future strategy.
7. AI Usage: We are a AI-driven team. The candidate should already be actively using tools like ChatGPT to increase the quality and speed of all deliverables.
Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent degree, with a mandatory experience of working for US healthcare industry and products
- Experience in product development, especially in the healthcare industry.
- Proven ability to develop product roadmaps and manage feature backlogs.
- Familiarity with AI tools in a business context.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 7 of those years specifically in a Business Analyst role.
Must-Have Skills:
1. Business Analysis Expertise: Strong skills in business requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
2. Healthcare Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare processes, regulations, and the U.S. healthcare system (Medicare and Medicaid).
3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and provide solutions to business challenges.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
5. Project Management: Experience in managing project timelines, resources, anddeliverables.
6. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile practices and principles, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
7. Technical Proficiency: Comfort with using AI tools (like ChatGPT) and business analysis software.
8. Leadership skills: Should have worked as Lead Business Analyst accountable for all deliverables for at least one product development cycle that is running in the market.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Advanced Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques for more in-depth business insights.
- User Experience Focus: Understanding of UX principles to contribute to product design discussions.
- Technical Background: Knowledge of software development challenges, which can help in understanding technical constraints and possibilities.
- Industry Certifications: Certifications like CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) can be advantageous.
- Experience on AI projects: Any past experience of working on AI/ML projects would be a huge advantage.
- Consulting Experience: Any past experience of working for business consulting companies would be considered advantageous.
