Project Development Head - Solar Industry

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Lead the identification of suitable sites for renewable energy projects, with a focus on wind and solar parks.

- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate the suitability of potential locations.

- Develop and implement strategies for acquiring land for project development.

- Negotiate land agreements and leases with landowners.

- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations related to land acquisition.

- Manage the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals for project development.

- Liaise with regulatory authorities and local government agencies to facilitate the permitting process.

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and other applicable laws.

- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies impacting project development in the renewable energy sector.

- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

- Work closely with legal counsel to address legal issues and mitigate risks.

- Oversee the overall project development process, from initial site identification to project commissioning.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or challenges, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government officials, community members, and project partners.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and foster positive relationships.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the project development team.

- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
