Essential responsibilities and duties :
- The Program Logistics Leader will manage and coordinate Program and Plant Logistics resources in order to ensure a smooth launch in terms of Logistics as well as the convergence to target of the Logistics KPI for the programs assigned.
The main missions of the role are:
- Ensure with Program (Program Mgr and Functional Mgr) and Plant(s) that the resources needed for a successful program launch at PC&L level are in place for:
- Supply Chain & Packaging (SC&P)
- Program Logistics (PL)
- Plant(s) involved
- Build and follow up global Logistics Timing ensuring the achievement on time of the required activities and building convergence plants in case of deviations.
- Manage SC&P, PL and Plant Logistics activities / deliverables during program development and launch phases.
- Propose / validate the best Logistics footprint to be implemented (consolidation in FIS plant(s) or in external Logistics Providers, resources location, synergies between functions- )
- Be the unique interface for Logistics topics in front of the Program, Plant(s) and Customer(s) Teams during program development and launch phases.
- Anticipate Logistics Risks (and Opportunities) implementing the required actions and escalating within the right organization (Program, Operations, Customer) to mitigate the risks (or confirm the opportunities)
- Ensure that Logistics transfer to plant(s) is planned in advance, ensuring that Program inputs are available on time (resources, BOM- ) and that Plant is ready to receive the Program (Logistics resources, space in the plant, PIC/PDP process started on time- )
- Arbitrate in case of Logistics points not agreed between Program and Plant (timing, logistics loops, issues with suppliers or customer )
- Lead and coordinate special actions in case of Logistics crisis situations.
Qualifications -
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level:
Bachelor degree/PG in Engineering / Business administration and Supply Chain Management
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Automotive Industry, within the Logistics area, including Plant Logistics responsibilities.
Skills and competencies
- Minimum Bi-lingual, English required
- Result oriented
- Able to communicate, coordinate and motivate
- Able to listen, challenge, propose and exchange Lessons Learnt & Best Practices.
- Able to consolidate & analyse data, set targets and track its evolution (cost, budget..)
- Transparent, Team player, Rigorous and Organized
- Deep knowledge of Logistics, specific understanding of both Company and External Customer(s) requirements
- Specific Logistics training in FES Standards
- Windows / Excel / Access / MRP, ERP working routines knowledge.
