Job Title & Description Program Head - ERP
To organize and ensure the organization's database through ERP. To ensure the efficient management of information to support management decision making and to meet institutional and statutory requirements.
Will closely work with the following stakeholders:
- External: Consultants, Vendors, Service Providers
- Internal: Vice Chancellor, Directors, Registrar, Dy Directors, Deans, Assoc Deans, HoDs, CFO, Head-HR
Reporting to Vice-Chancellor (Also accountable to Directors)
Educational Qualification & Personal Profile
- BTech/BE in relevant discipline with first class
- At least 15 years- experience of which 10 years is in similar nature in a University or other Institutes of Higher Education
- Technical Knowledge: Subject Matter Expert in ERP (People Soft desirable) related to Higher Educational Institutions, Knowledge of the wider requirements of the Higher Education Institute Operations, Understanding of faculty, student and Institute related rules and regulations, understanding of legal matters, understanding of finance-related matters, understanding of regulatory matters pertaining to Universities and Education, Project Management
- Behavioral Competencies required: Communication skills, Analytical skills, Interpersonal skills, Conflict resolution skills, Problem-solving skills
Principal Accountabilities
1. Develop Road Map and Action Plans for effective implementation of ERP with respect to Employee Life Cycle, Student Life Cycle, Payroll, Finance Module, Purchase Module and other delivered functions of ERP (People Soft) across the institute.
2. Institute a system of tracking & measurement of outcome and the value to the institute by Identifying Key Performance indicators for all areas of ERP implementation.
3. Direct and control the database management team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
4. Develop and implement systems and processes to ensure the accurate and timely collection, analysis and publication of data and information related to Employees, Student Life Cycle and other functions of ERP.
5. Publish regular performance reports and ad hoc reports as required to enable users to monitor progress against organization objectives.
6. Identify existing stand-alone (legacy) processes across the Institute. Facilitate and Ensure smooth transition to ERP and build capability in users to ensure sustenance.
7. Provide an organization-wide advisory and consultancy service on all aspects of data management.
8. Maintain an awareness of developments in the storage and handling of data and review the ERP application of new technologies to improve administrative processes.
9. Regularly monitor and Audit ERP systems and processes to ensure that information provided continues to be accurate produced at the right time and maintained in accordance with data protection legislation.
10. Plan for availability of CAPEX & OPEX Budget as per the annual performance plans.
