The Profit Center Head is a senior leadership role within the recruitment business and is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence in the assigned profit centre. This individual will manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, overseeing client relationships, team performance, strategy development, and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in recruitment, business development, team management, and financial oversight.

The Profit Center Head will lead by example, foster a performance-driven culture, and ensure alignment with company objectives. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Profit & Loss (P&L) Management:

- Take full ownership of the profit centre's P&L, including budget creation, forecasting, and performance tracking.

- Identify and implement strategies to meet revenue and profit targets.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Business Development & Client Relationship Management:

- Develop and implement strategies to grow the recruitment business, including acquiring new clients and expanding existing client relationships.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize revenue opportunities.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

- Lead, motivate, and manage the recruitment team to achieve both individual and collective targets.

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on results, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Oversee recruitment consultants, managers, and support staff, ensuring effective training and development programs are in place.

Operational Excellence:

- Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and placement.

- Implement best practices, streamline operations, and improve recruitment methodologies.

- Leverage technology and tools to enhance operational efficiency and candidate experience.

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

- Monitor and report on the financial performance of the profit centre, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.

- Develop financial forecasts and budgets, and ensure targets are met or exceeded.

- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning:

- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and new business opportunities.

- Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to ensure sustainable growth.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, legislative changes, and recruitment innovations to ensure the business remains competitive.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, company policies, and industry regulations.

- Mitigate risk by establishing sound operational processes and procedures.

- Oversee contract management and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently.
