Our client is an Indian MNC and they are into SPM machines manufacturing . Based in Pune, India, their sales & service network spans over India and the world. They have presence in 45 countries and more than 7000 successful installations worldwide.

We are looking for an excellent professional who will be responsible for handling Operations of the company as an Operations Head.

Experience - 15+ years' experience out of which minimum 3 years should be as a head of an SBU with independent charge of technical and commercial functions OR minimum 5-7 years as head of a function in a reputed medium or large engineering industry with responsibility to manage large teams & financial budgets.

Job Description:

- Over responsible for Pune Manufacturing Unit with full profit and loss responsibility including team management, budgeting, business planning and operations /execution.

- Facilitate and manage the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing environment for the facility. Makes routine process checks and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.,

- Develop and execute business plans supporting manufacturing objectives including the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and programs.

- Maximize productive capabilities to achieve customer satisfaction while attaining operating cost and goals.

- Develops initiatives to achieve manufacturing, quality, and safety standard goals.

- Manage overall product quality to ensure all standards and specifications support the Quality system.

- Improve process and operational consistency to manage and reduce costs associated with labor and OPEX budget.

- Motivate, direct, coach and develop a high performing diverse and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability. Staff, train and develop team members to reach this level.

- Sustain a consistent, long-term vision though continuous process improvement while developing a culture that embraces operational excellence.

- Drive good manufacturing practices and ensure continuous improvement.

- Ensure right collaboration among Manufacturing & supply chain. Coach operations team for achieving higher goals and productivity.

- Reporting to - Vice Chairman and CEO

- Reported by Head - Production /Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS and shared responsibility of project related deliveries.

Requirements:

- Qualification - Bachelor in Mechanical, Production or Electrical Engineering. Additional qualifications in management will be an advantage i.e. MBA in Operations or Finance.

- Experience of working in packaging machinery manufacturing will be a plus.

- Excellent leadership skills & drive. Great skills in production management and supply chain.

- Basic knowledge of quality systems, production processes and lean, six sigma, etc.

- Awareness on financials is needed.

- Understanding of Local Language is a must.
