1. JOB PURPOSE
Train, educate and take manpower to achieve overall production targets of the Company . Production planning.
Manpower planning, deployment for shop floor.
2. QUALIFICATION
B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical), 12 - 14 Years- Experience production / Manufacturing., must be strong in Sheet metal industry including tool design & maintenance, should be well conversant with TPM, should be able to lead production team to achieve Business Plan Targets.
3. KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs)
1. Achieve the forecasted production for the company by directing and controlling their resources with in the planned expense limit.
2. Ability to implement / develop manufacturing systems as per customer demand.
3. Contribute to the development of new products by monitoring and analyzing the capability available resource and customer demands
4. Attain department objectives in throughput and quality of work by supervising, monitoring, developing and appraising the subordinates.
5. Provide a optimal standard of support services and training to sub-ordinates and performance monitoring of individual shop in-charge.
6. Ensure effective production and quality by individual shop In-charge as per the customer requirement by providing support and guidance of standards, skill and best manufacturing process.
7. Meet the long term objective of the company by initiative and participating in productivity improvement and overall equipment efficiency.
Role in Dept.
- To guide, and support production team to ensure effective Quality production by individuals, to make Shop Incharge responsible, meet the long term objectives of the Company by initiating and participating in productivity improvement.
Main Areas of Work:
1. Production Plan.
2. Manpower planning and deployment.
3. Analysis and interpretation of Production Data.
4. Controlling and minimizing wastage / Rejections
5. Scrap Analysis
6. Regular improvement in shop environment by encouraging TPM activities / Kaizen etc.
7. Contribute to the development of new product.
8. Developing & Appraising subordinate staff
9. To maximize machine availability

- Type of decisions made alone, those on which the manager must be consulted, those referred to a higher level, and job procedures to be followed.

5. ASSIGNMENT AND PLANNING OF WORK
- Describe who generates the work in your Department, to what extent is it yourself, your manager or other people
- Planning is done as per Plan for the Year, but micro level Production Plan is done on Monthly basis.
Work Generation:
Self - 60%
Superior - 10%
Subordinates - 20%
Others - 10%

Describe the purpose and nature of the main internal and external contacts other than with your Immediate Superior and subordinates, which are necessary to perform this job.
Internal : Maintenance, Commercial, Quality, Sales, D&D, and HR
Contact Point: Daily Meeting / Office / Shop floor
Purpose : Planned & B/D Main., RM Schedules, RM & FG Quality / process control, Production Planning, Product Dev, and Manpower related.
