Urgent opening for the role of Production Manager with leading FMCG Company for Mangalia, Indore location.

Key Responsibility Areas

Operational Management

- Manage upstream manufacturing operations and report results on a regular/monthly basis

- Implement the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) according the international standards of Food

Grade processing

- Ensure fulfilment of rush orders, prepare standard progress reports and eliminate difficulties and delays

- Develop Schedules, production plans, and material requirements for the plant

- Lead continuous improvement efforts in the plant

- Maintain the Plant equipment

Quality Management

- Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety and efficacy of all food products, compliance with all applicable specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, required certification and Food regulations (GMPs)

- Ensures the effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality products.

- Responsible for follow up on actions of audits and complaints

Financial Management

- Budget responsibility (headcount, expense, and capital) for the Manufacturing and quality group including regular forecasting of activities

- Develop plans to achieve the cost optimisation of manufacturing and projects

Supply Chain Management

- Assist the Supply Chain team that ensures the delivery of products to the destination at most cost efficient manner and within timelines and required equipment

People Management

- Create a positive environment where all employees in the Plant can excel.

- Ensure all staff are equipped, trained, qualified, motivated, developed and empowered to provide high levels of people satisfaction and engagement.

Minimum Educational and / or Training Qualifications and Certificates

- Total years of experience: 10 to 20 years experience in Technical or Operations function

- Relevant experience: 6 to 10 years in manufacturing of food grade / beverages / Pharmaceutical / FMCG products

- Food Plant manufacturing experience – extrusion technology experience is preferred, but not essential

- Has led a team of at least 10

- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)

- Have achieved the ISO 14000, ISO 18000 and BRIC certification
