Job Mission :
1. Planning and managing the production processes of footwear and accessories for the styles to be produced in Tempe India
2. Looking for the best options in order to achieve objectives set by the Chain Management regarding quality, costs, ETD and other terms
Mission of the responsible for this position :
Implementing the Chain production strategy to assure achievement of the objectives set by the Chain Management.
Criteria - Senior Level.
1. Over 5 years experience in the same position
2. Organizing and planning his/her job with global vision, working by objectives rather than by orders or tasks
3. Suggesting frequently improvements in the working process by using his/her technical knowledge related to footwear sector.
4. Resolving problems along the production process independently
5. Planning and anticipating alternatives of negotiation with suppliers.
6.Providing strategical advice to Production Line Manager on process improvement
Job Functions :
DEVELOP STAGE:
1. Planning and coordinating with design team the collection, development and allocation of suppliers.
2. Research and Supporting the design team on the development of lasts, components and material during the development of the collection.
3. Instructing supplier on the construction of footwear or accessories, taking into account the type of product to ensure the end result in terms of aesthetics and comfort
4. Monitoring the prototypes of footwear or accessories to support the design team in the correction of lines in both developing and production scales
5. Controlling sample quality to make sure on-time accomplishment of the development sample according to the schedule.
6. Liaising the information sharing between Spain and factory in timely manner
PRODUCTION STAGE:
1. Define the strategic plan along with production manager in Spain, according to the brand´ needs.
2. To find the best factories to guarantee, to get the collection under quality, price and delivery time required by the brand and according to the company’s regulation and requirements e.g. Normative (CTW, CSR )
3. Negotiating price and ETD to achieve the objectives, controlling the purchasing cost.
4. Run the distribution of productions over the factories taking into account dates of service and factory planning, product type and production costs.
5. Checking fitting and confirmation sample for confirmed orders
6. Manage factory’s production space and monitoring the production schedule
7. Liaising between factory and head office in Spain to leverage the information sharing and process followup
8. To ensure, through established procedures, quality standards, product image and comfort before shipment.
9. Manage material situation and order production status. Monitoring the timeliness of delivery by suppliers
To control shipment.
10. To resolve any problem due to production when goods arrive to Spain
Academic level, knowledge and experience required.
Academic level:
- College degree preferably in Business Administration or in Fashion Design
- Specialization course or on-job training in footwear and accessories manufacturing
Specific knowledge:
Raw material knowledge - Intermediate level
Production process knowledge - Advanced level
Negotiation skills - Advanced level
Technical knowledge - Intermediate level
Languages:
- English advance level and Hindi.
Experience:
Over 5 years working experience responsible for merchandising in Footwear / Accessories industry with basic technical knowledge.
