Production Manager - Digital Publishing

Purpose of the Job

To manage the digital publishing objectives of the organization by coordinating and executing along with the team members to meet the market demand at competitive cost.

Principal Accountabilities

1) To empanel, maintain and manage a healthy pool of competent and cost effective vendors to achieve e-pub requirements.

2) To actively participate in taking the digitization, e-publishing and app developments etc. program of the organisation ahead.

3) To keep self, management and the team abreast of the e-pub developments; suggest and take requisite steps to keep pace with the changing scenario and technologies.

4) To maintain a healthy working environment/relationship with associates within and outside the organization.

Main duties and responsibilities

- To manage and execute the digitization of appropriate titles; coordination with internal departments / DAM team and external vendors.

- To manage need based front or back-end xml tagging requirements.

- To arrange / prepare the files for various e-publishing platforms such as OSO/ online publishing, gadgets like e-book readers, Smartphone, LMS and Apps etc.

- To control and manage the e-pub costs for optimal benefits, prepare & submit reports as desired by the Management.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Candidates with Pre-press Background

- Education Qualification: B.Tech,BCA,IT & any graduates / MBA

- Fluent in English

- Knowledge and hands on experience in XML first workflow design.

- Computer Proficiency

- Operating system:- Windows 7,XP,LINUX (Fedora & SuSe),MacOS X

- Computer Languages:- Proficient in ePub,Mobi,CMS/LMS(Module2.0,Drupal 17.0, PERL, XML/XSL(T), HTML.XHTML, CSS, Unix/LINUX Shells

- Well versed with XML, HTML, DTD/Schema, e-pub, Mobi

- Fair Knowledge of Animation, flash, web design, InDesign, Learning Management System and online assessment/Test tools.

- Knowledge of OCR, scanning and pre-press operations.

- Working knowledge on gadgets like E-book readers, smartphones etc.

Salary offered:

INR 9,00,000 to 12,00,000 P.A.
