Job Location: Aligarh (UP)
Functional Reporting to Factory Head
Role Purpose : This role is to plan, direct & coordinate Dairy operations in Aligarh factory having 4 Lakh Liters milk per day processing capacity (peak season), includes but not limited to milk reception, milk processing, butter manufacturing (CBMM) & filling, ghee manufacturing & filling, spray drying, roller drying, forthcoming & future CAPEX projects etc.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial (Business ):
- Develop and manage departmental budget in collaboration with finance department
- Allocating resources effectively and tracking expenditures to ensure financial objectives are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for each dairy processing & packing line, identifying cost drivers and recommending cost-saving strategies.
- Monitor actual production costs, efficiency& against budgeted targets, analyzing variances and reporting to management
Customer :
- Develop and execute growth, innovation and efficiency.
- Promote and oversee research and development initiatives within the department to enhance product quality and technological advancements in dairy production.
- Encourage innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies to drive product development and improve processes.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to ensure that customer orders are processed and delivered on time while meeting quality specifications.
- Monitor customer feedback related to product quality and production processes and initiate actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards, procedures, and practices to ensure the production of safe and high-quality dairy products that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor critical parameters such as milk composition, temperature, pH and microbial load to maintain consistent product quality.
Process :
- Oversee the entire milk processing cycle, from receiving raw milk to pasteurization, homogenization, drying and packaging, ensuring compliance with quality standard
Resource Allocation and Optimizations and regulations.
- Continuously analyze production processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity while maintaining product integrity.
- Propose and implement changes to optimize energy consumption and water usage during processing
People :
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction to the dairy technology department, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Manage and mentor a team of dairy technologists, ensuring their professional growth and development within the department.

Role Requirements:
- Master's/ Bachelor's degree in Dairy Technology preferred.
- Extensive experience in milk processing, ghee manufacturing, butter manufacturing, and skimmed milk powder production.
- In-depth knowledge of dairy processing equipment, protocols, and industry best practices
Experience (Type & Nature): Minimum 10-12 years of work experience in Dairy operations with at-least 4 years at Managerial level.
Functional Competencies:
- Should have handled Milk processing, spray/roller drying, butter manufacturing & retail packaging, ghee manufacturing & retail packaging.
- Should be well acquainted with problem solving techniques viz; DMAIC, Pareto, Fish bone diagram etc.
- Should be well acquainted with HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP systems
- Should be proficient in MS Office, SAP
